APAP – Promo 60 Apartamentos

Building a world that didn’t exist on set

For this campaign for APAP, one of the Dominican Republic’s most recognized financial institutions, we joined forces with Basecamp Studio, the production company leading the project, to bring the visual effects and animation side of the concept to life.

The idea was ambitious: a camera moving forward through different rooms, crossing from one space into the next, while each room revealed a completely different scene, mood, color palette, and story.

Everything was filmed on chroma, with the talent performing inside a controlled studio environment while the camera moved forward through each setup. From there, our job was to transform that raw footage into a seamless journey through a fully digital world.

The Challenge

The biggest challenge was making every transition feel natural.

The camera had to move from room to room without breaking the flow, even though each scene was recorded separately and every environment had to be created digitally. Each space needed its own personality, lighting, color, depth, and visual rhythm, while still feeling part of one continuous commercial.

To make that possible, the production required careful planning from the very beginning. The chroma setup, camera movement, tracking points, talent blocking, and scene structure all had to be aligned before post-production even started.

Basecamp Studio trusted us to handle the VFX and animation work for the campaign, with the goal of delivering a polished, professional result for APAP.

Our involvement started on set, where we supported part of the visual effects supervision process. We helped make sure the tracking points were properly placed, the chroma setup was working, and the footage was being captured in a way that would allow us to reconstruct the movement later in 3D.

In post-production, we solved the camera tracks, transferred the data into Autodesk Maya, built the digital rooms, integrated the live-action footage, and composited everything into one continuous visual experience.
